Networking Event for GEW- Gwinnett * Atlanta * Dekalb This event is designed for entrepreneurs, educators, innovators and influencers to share their knowledge and network about best practices. Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), launched by the Global Entrepreneurship Network in 2008, is the largest entrepreneurship community in the globe with more than 30,000 members in the network. Franchesca Thompson serves as GEW Community Organizer for Gwinnett. She works with organizations and individuals to develop, organize, and host events across Gwinnett and Metro Atlanta. The goal of this event is to empower entrepreneurs, innovators, and makers during GEW. Enjoy 7-days of connecting, collaborating, sharing resources and celebrating entrepreneurship.

Movie Watch Party with The Co Director Cheryl Miller Houser and Innovative Entrepreneurs

Please join GEW Gwinnett and Creative Breed Films for a movie watch party during Global Entrepreneurship Week. We will watch clips from the film Generation Startup and have a discussion about “ The State of Entrepreneurship”. Generation Startup has inspired viewers around the world to move outside their comfort zone and work hard to build something meaningful. Let’s have a great time celebrating the entrepreneurship community. The event will be virtual on November 18th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.AGENDA:
  • 6:00pm- 6:15pm Introduction of the panelist and the movie
  • 6:15-7:15pm Watch clips of Generation Startup and speak to the panelist about entrepreneurship: Race, Innovation, Barriers to Entry, Pandemic, Technology, Resources, and more

This is an Online Event via Zoom.Join GEW Gwinnett’s Pitch Competition virtually for new startups. 5 startups will pitch to a panel of judges and hundreds of entrepreneurs.Apply here in the google form to Pitch at the event! Selected applicants will be contacted further by our team. Deadline to apply is November 2, 2020 at midnight.The 5 startups selected will pitch live on November 20, 2020.The winning pitch will receive a business package that will include a cash prize, logo package, 3 months of Business Strategy from JE Catalyst Group, and a year Pro Subscription to Boomerang
